Emergency Shelter
Massillon's First Overnight Emergency Shelter
When the call came to help during extreme winter temperatures, our church and community responded with compassion and urgency. Within hours, volunteers, donors, and supporters came together to open the doors of our church to provide warmth, safety, meals, and dignity to our unhoused neighbors. Because of your generosity and sacrifice, countless individuals have had a place of refuge during one of the coldest parts of the season.
As we look ahead, we want to share that our emergency overnight shelter operations concluded on March 11. While the need in our community remains great, the intensity of operating a daily shelter has required an extraordinary amount of time, labor, and resources from our pastors, volunteers, and congregation.
We are deeply grateful for every person who has served, donated, prayed, transported guests, prepared meals, cleaned the facility, laundered clothing, and supported this mission in any way. Your compassion has truly reflected the heart of Christ and has made a lasting impact on many lives.

HERE'S WHATS NEXT!
HOW TO SUPPORT
Because of what we have witnessed together, Redeemed Acts Ministries is committed to sharing the impact of what has been accomplished and continuing the conversation about the need that still exists. In the coming months, we will begin hosting fundraising events and community initiatives to help offset the costs our church incurred during shelter operations and to move into the next phase of developing sustainable ways to serve this population long-term.
